Just use the same rating system you use for Starcraft.

Change the Mappool to:

1vs1 mappool:

* Echo Isles
* Gnoll Wood
* Lost Temple (ROC version)
* Terenas Stand
* Turtle Rock
* Twisted Meadows
* Secret Valley


2on2 Mappool:

* Avalanche
* Gnoll Wood
* Lost Temple (ROC version)
* Turtle Rock
* Twisted Meadows

add some selfmade maps via mapcotest perhaps ;)

add an antihack tool if not yet done.

Dont fully agree with #1 here, what he listed are pretty much the standard (widely worn out)league maps. Imo in order to run a ladder you would need at least 4 more maps in solo, and at least 6 more in 2v2. How you get them? Well you can do as it was suggested and hold a map making contest, or you could balance out some of the standard Blizzard maps making them better (one such example would be Tirisfal Glades which was modified for the AWL).
As to the ranking system, you can import the one you have for Starcraft, or just keep the one with levels that bnet uses. To be honest I don't think this would really matter. It would be nice, however if you could make rooms with access according to ladder levels (smth like 0-20;20-30;30-50) to which you only get access once your ladder level is sufficient. This would be very helpful in finding opponents for custom games of the same skill.
P.S. Mb it would be about time to write a set of rules for Warcraft(ladder and cw), cause atm site links to the starcraft ones, and add to the users profile race statistics for w3 ?

We just start Build WarCraft III section and we need you help with it. So, who can help with an idea or may be some other help like in map modification etc - PM to me. We wanna work together with WC3 community same as we do with SC:BW.

There are no other maps that are as good as those.

but i kinda agree with him.

My thoughts are you keep it like battle.net ( ladder ) but change the icons and settings for them. like 25 wins undead, u get some sort of a medal-ish icon or an different icon.

and if you can i would like to use the /users command online on the server some times. be cause the /chs only shows in channels not in games.

ow yah we really need to advertise about this new ladder.

do you play warcraft ?
cuz the rating on warcraft isn't near starcraft's

and i got a copy of pvpgn its a pain in the but to mod the statistics on it well im a noob at that but in my opinion keep the ladder like it is

u can always choose witch race you play with witch u will get your wins with it but all the wins add up to a total all the losses will add to a total so thats not much of a problem
